Demonstration notice
Halveron Consulting is a fictional firm and this is a demonstration website. The forms on this site do not send, store or process anything you type into them. The rest of this notice describes how a real firm of this kind would handle personal information. Please do not enter real personal information anywhere on this site.
Who is responsible for your data
Halveron Consulting Ltd is the controller of personal information collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 00000000, at The Granary, 9 Mill Lane, Woodstock, Oxfordshire OX20 0XX. You can contact us about privacy at hello@halveron.junaid.guru or on +44 (0)1632 960410.
What we collect
We collect only what you choose to give us:
- your name, email address, company and phone number, and the message you write, when you use a contact form;
- your email address, when you sign up for our newsletter;
- your name, company, email address, phone number and areas of interest, when you download a white paper;
- the details you give us when you book a course, apply for a job or register for a forum meeting or our conference.
We do not use analytics or advertising tools, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to provide a course or event you have booked, to consider a job application, and to send the newsletter you asked for. The law allows us to do this on the following bases:
- Contract, when we need the information to provide a course, event place or service you have asked for.
- Consent, for the newsletter and white-paper follow-up. You can withdraw consent at any time using the link in every email or by contacting us.
- Legitimate interests, when we reply to an enquiry or keep a record of our correspondence with clients. We only rely on this where our interest does not override your rights.
- Legal obligation, where we must keep records for tax, accounting or employment law.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, such as our email, hosting and course-booking providers, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions. If a course is externally accredited, we share the details needed to register you with the accrediting body. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Where a provider stores data outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for two years after our last contact with you, newsletter details until you unsubscribe, course and accreditation records for six years, and unsuccessful job applications for six months. After that we delete the information or make it anonymous.
Fonts
This website loads its typeface from Google Fonts. When your browser requests the font, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information, as it would for any web request. Google's own privacy policy applies to that request. No other third-party services are loaded.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask us to transfer it to another organisation. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so that we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when our practices change, and show the date of the latest version at the top of the page.
